Dance, Dance, Dance!

It's exactly 30 minutes before I have to go to dance class, and what am I doing? I should probably be getting ready, but instead I'm here sitting on my computer procrastinating. Of course, that's pretty much what we all do sometimes. We know there are things to be done, if it's getting ready for dance or writing a report or just working in general, but we tend to want to do what we want. And, generally speaking, what we want is to not work. But that is not the point.
The point is, as you might have guessed by the title, dance. Of course, the topic of dance is a rather vogue one, isn't it? So let's narrow it down.

1) I'm not taking ballet this year. Yes, flame me all you want on this one. I deserve it. This is the one year I have not taken ballet, and I am fine with that.
2) I am still taking tap. In fact, technically speaking, I'm taking two tap classes! Well, a tap/jazz combo and an Honors Tap class. More on this later.
3) I am taking hip-hop this year. Earlier in the year I was taking it with a different teacher, but I've been moved to an advanced class. Personally, not because the advanced class is "Harder," I prefer my old Hip-hop teacher :P
4)I'm also taking lyrical. My lyrical teacher used to be my hip-hop teacher. We've started on the recital dance for lyrical. Yay!

So that's what's up. I take hip-hop, lyrical, tap/jazz, and honors tap, respectively. But what I've really wanted to talk about is Honors Tap, and I'm sure that a few of my followers would love to hear a bit more on this subject.
Honors tap is an hour long class from 8:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Now I know this sounds like a lot, and truth is, it is a lot. But I don't mind, really, because it is very fun and can be challenging. It puts me in with some older and some younger dancers that are all at my skill level (Though some are better and some aren't as good, not to brag.) despite their age. The oldest in the class? over 20, I'd guess. Youngest? 8. Yes. There is an 8 year old who can tap as fast and as well (Maybe not as good, but pretty good still) as a 20 year old. And, dare I say it, Little T is as good, if not better, than myself.
We've also started working on the recital dance for Honors Tap. It's going to be, if I understand correctly, to a classic tap song "Kansas City." Now if you saw my performance last year, please please PLEASE be assured this will be different. Very. Different. Last year, I was at a different dance studio (Which will not be named.) which was WAY below my skill level. I Would highly suggest that studio to beginners. However, the dance studio I'm at now is very good and I prefer it much more than my previous studio.
Now please excuse me if I sound like I'm bragging in this post, but I felt the need to get that out of my system :P It's been cooped up in there since I was shown our sequin-neon colored outfits and listened to the slowest song in the world and was told it is what we'd be doing for tap. That was at the last please, though. I'm sure mother can agree, yeah? Yeah.
But anyways, I fear I must hurry now or I'll be late for dance. And I don't want that to happen, now do I?

**UPDATE UPDATE**
yes, another update update! So you know how earlier I said once I'd start going bi-weekly? I figured I'd start this week. Look for another post Friday/Saturday!
